SUPER BOWL 2017- LADY GAGA
The Super Bowl is one of the most important social events in the United States. It is considered a social act in which people meet to watch the game, and it is the second date of the year in which more food and drink is consumed, behind Thanksgiving Day.
In every Super Bowl there is a big concert during the match, and in 2017 Lady Gaga did a performance with messages and references to the integration of groups such as homosexuals, African-Americans or Latinos. With vacuum jumps, pyrotechnic games and up to 300 drones who drew stars behind their backs, Lady Gaga preferred the show to the controversy in her performance on the Super Bowl.
She had promised an interesting and exciting concert that would have as only political messages the same that she has defended during her career: the need for equality and the idea that the spirit of the USA is of love, compassion and kindness.
At a time of political division in the USA, Lady Gaga wanted to call the patriotic unit as she began her performance from the top of the stadium with a mix of the God Bless America Hymn, the song This Land Is Your Land and the oath of allegiance to the flag.
Lady Gaga sang the first notes while behind her the sky seemed to be full of stars.
It was actually about 300 drones who then drew the American flag.
Lady Gaga then plunged into the void and, supported by strings, she began singing Pokerface from a tower, jumping and looping in the air before descending to the stage in a display of pyrotechnics.
Then, the singer opted for subtle political messages, like his song Born This Way, a hymn in defense of homosexuals.
He also hugged a young African-American while singing Stay, the last verse of his new song Million reasons, that she played it on the piano while the stadium was lit with orange lanterns.
For the song Just Dance she wore a gold jacket with spikes on her shoulders, perhaps as a nod to the costumes with which she jumped to fame in 2008.
The final brooch came just after, when, to the cry of  "Super Bowl 51! ", Lady Gaga threw her microphone at the audience and grabbed a ball that was thrown before jumping to the void from a platform.
